Creative Writing - Photo
In this elective, students experimented with creative writing and photography, often combining these two elements to create stories and poems. We taught students about using concrete language, the rule of thirds, online photo editing, and capturing mood in writing and photographs. When taking pictures around campus, students experimented with close ups, angles, and movement as they sought out images to construct a story through images. Students were also asked to select an image they took and create a found poems to accompany it by using the books they were reading in their literature classes.
